Understanding Changelog Pages

Changelog pages allow you to create multiple changelogs within a single organization with different permissions and access levels.

What Are Changelog Pages?

Think of pages as separate changelogs within your organization. For example:

  • A public page for customer-facing updates
  • A private page for internal team updates
  • A page specifically for beta features

Free vs Pro Plans

Free Plan:

  • 1 changelog page per organization
  • Public pages only

Pro Plan:

  • Unlimited changelog pages
  • Public and private pages
  • Custom permissions per page

Creating a Changelog Page

  1. Go to Settings → Pages
  2. Click "New Page"
  3. Configure:
    • Name: Display name for the page
    • Slug: URL identifier
    • Description: Optional description
    • Visibility: Public or Private (Pro only)
  4. Click "Create Page"

Public vs Private Pages

Public Pages:

  • Visible to anyone with the URL
  • No authentication required
  • Perfect for customer updates

Private Pages (Pro):

  • Requires authentication
  • Role-based access control
  • Great for internal updates

Page Permissions

Control who can:

  • View: See the page and posts
  • Write: Create new posts
  • Edit: Modify existing posts
  • Delete: Remove posts

Available roles: Owner, Admin, Editor, Viewer

Page URLs

Each page has its own URL: /changelog/organization-slug/page-slug

Example:

  • Main changelog: /changelog/acme/main
  • Internal updates: /changelog/acme/internal
